All Star Ballot: Teen Girl Squad Edition

From Nick:

My ballot was very close to Jay’s:

First Base: Morneau, J., MIN
— I was stunned to find out Giambi is doing as well as he is. Still, I tried my hardest to not vote for any Yankees or Red Sox (they’ve got enough people voting for them).

Second Base: Kinsler, I., TEX
— Yeah, this one was pretty easy.

Third Base: Rodriguez, A., NYY
— Kind of blows everyone else away. I don’t like to vote for Yankees, but if I vote for one it will be Rodriguez.

Shortstop: Peralta, J., CLE
— You’re right… not a great crop. Still, I’m a sucker for the home runs?

Catcher: Mauer, J., MIN
— He isn’t Varitek.

Outfielder: Bradley, M., TEX
— First in the majors in angry stares.

Outfielder: Drew, J., BOS
— I guess the only Red Sox or Yankees I’ll vote for are the ones the Red Sox and Yankees fans don’t like.

Outfielder: Hamilton, J., TEX
— I don’t watch ESPN, but if I did I’m guessing I’d be so sick of the Hamilton talk that I wouldn’t have voted for him.

Designated Hitter: Huff, A., BAL
— I figure I’d be one of the seven people to vote for Aubrey.

Write-In: Quentin, C., CWS
— He was the first guy on Yahoo’s list of OPS leaders that wasn’t listed on the ballot.

First Base: Berkman, L., HOU
— Because he’s Batman (per Jason, at least).

Second Base: Uggla, D., FLA
— I remember on draft day when I was chatting to you guys about whether or not I should draft Uggla. Let me make it clear: I am glad I drafted Uggla.

Third Base: Ramirez, A., CHC
— I had Chipper selected, then I was all like, “What am I doing?” and then I voted for Aramis. The end.

Shortstop: Ramirez, H., FLA
— Just as long as Rollins doesn’t get in.

Catcher: Soto, G., CHC
— I felt kind of bad not voting for McCann, but there’s no way I wasn’t voting for Soto.

Outfielder: Burrell, P., PHI
— Lots o’ walks.

Outfielder: Fukudome, K., CHC
— I actually wasn’t going to vote for Fukudome, but then I saw that I had only voted for a couple Cubs, so I had to toss him in there. Plus, I was about to vote for Ludwick, which is just crazy.

Outfielder: Braun, R., MIL
— On my first ballot I went with McLouth, but I went with Braun after that based on the highlight reels I’ve watched on MLB.com. He puts a spank on the ball.

Write-In: Hairston Jr., J., CIN
— Basically just cuz he’s on my fantasy team (although he’s been hurt for a while). Plus, he plays lots of positions.

I may pick a couple different NL outfielders every-so-often, but for the most part I’ll stick with these for my 25 picks.
